I know putting the 2.0L valve cover on a 1.9L is good for turbo applications because of the lower compression, BUT has anyone done this mod without turboing? Are the power gains significant enough for the price and time to do it yourself?

Are you talking about heads? It may be good for turbo application but with lower compression it would not make any more power gain than what you have. Probably would lower your HP.

Along with a lower compression ratio, you would also get a little less miles per gallon.
