this car has been sitting for about 6 mo now, when i start the car i have to constantly pump the gas pedal, it sounds like it is running just like a car should when you pump the gas. but when i stop pumping it dies. It was working fine when i got it then it just died. i thought it was the valves that froze it up so i replaced them. put the motor back together and here it sits. now its making a clicking sound when i try to start it. doesnt turn over and is not the battery i tryed using good ones, and jumping. this is an easy fix though i would really like to know what is wrong with the injector. I also had the throttle positioner replaced, didn't make any diffrence. If this has ever happened to you or if you know how to fix this i could really use some help.

If you know the battery is good, bench test the starter.

For the fuel problem verify that your electric fuel pump is working as well as the pressure regulator.

Sounds like a fuel supply problem. Change the fuel filter. You may have water and or gunk in the tank and filter from sitting so long.

Could also be an electrical problem.
