RIP 03-07-2009, 01:27 PM A very common problem back east is severely rusted strut towers. The area where the suspension strut mounts at the top. There are kits available for a fix though others have come up with better fixes. Keep an eye on them. Electrical problems abound. Get familiar with the body control module (BCM) and solder connections on the instrument cluster circuit board. They can cause erratic instruments, no crank, and a miriad of electronic accessory issues. Transaxle issues are common. Take care of it and it might take care of you. Change the fluid/filter frequently and use only ATF4 fluid. If you use it to tow install an aux transaxle cooler. Your 3.0 engine uses a timing belt. Make sure you change it every 80K miles. If it breaks, you're stuck where you are. Here's a few websites I use all the time: http://www.obd-codes.com/ Click trouble codes at upper left http://www.autozone.com/shopping/repairGuide.htm They don't have it all but good for a quick reference http://www.allpar.com/ good info all over this site http://www.chryslerminivan.net/ Another great forum specific to Chrysler minivans vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
