Front right turn signal light not working ('02 intrigue)

I tried replacing the bulb, and the fuse, but still no luck.

Anyone have any idea what else I can check? I'm going on a roadtrip soon and I would be so thankful if someone could help me!

The socket that holds the bulb is probably bad. Remove the bulb and inspect the contacts. If there are "burn" or black marks on the contacts, you need to replace the entire socket. It's a very common repair on the Intrigue. Using the turn signals as the daytime running lights was not a good idea.

You can also check the wiring before the socket with a test light to make sure that power is even getting there like it should.

whoo! thank you!! it was totally the socket : ) I've been meaning to get this fixed for ages but it was never a good time to take it into the shop, and now I don't have to! Thank you very much : )

You can buy the socket at a Gm dealership or from www.rockauto.com or www.gmpartsdirect.com. The websites tend to be cheaper but you have to pay for shipping. It may be a wash.

It should take you about 5-6 minutes from opening the hood to washing your hands.

I usually take a small file and clean the contacts, get GM bulbs with the glass socket as opposed to the cheap plastic ones and slightly bend the contacts outwards to create more pressure in the socket and add some dielectric grease. Your socket will not burn out again. Replacing the socket will fix the problem temporary until it just burns again. Another option is to pull the DRL fuse and stop those damn lights from burning on high all the time. Its a terrible design, no signal bulb is designed to be left on high for extended periods, only to flash high

Pulling the fuse is the way to go. It means that you lose the automatic headlight feature but to me that is no big deal. If I want DRL I turn on the headlights.

So the accessory will be the daytime running lights then but the dash would light up I think.

Which fuse kills the day time running lights, is it under the hood?

For me recently the front left turn signal didn't work I took it out a saw that the bulb was a little melted and I lifted up the contact and put a tiny piece of aluminun under it and now it works good.

The fuse is in the fuse panel by the passenger door. I suspect that your fix will be a short-term one.
