A Little help please.

Alright, so here's the problem. I have a 1990 Chevrolet G20. When I go out in the morning to start it there is no problem. After it runs for say 5-10 minutes it shuts off. After that it won't restart. I checked and there is no fuel coming from the injectors. I have replaced the map sensor, the idle air control valve, and the O2 sensor. I checked the fuel filter and its fine. It seems to me that something is shutting down once it gets warm. If I use starting fluid after the initial start it will restart and the injectors will work but only if I keep it revved well above normal idle. The second I let of the accelerator it dies, and won't pump any fuel from the injectors. What the heck could cause this?!?!?!?

Just finished replacing the fuel pressure regulator. Still the same darn thing. I don't know what the deal is. I believe it is something to do with the injectors. Can someone tell me what would make the injectors quit spraying after a few minutes??????

Could be a faulty ignition control module, have it tested, several times, they're twitchy and can test good one time when cold, but when warm (hence your problem) they fail.

If it does test bad, accept no imitation and replace it with a AcDelco unit!

Thanks, I'll give it a shot. Also I was wondering could my fuel pump somehow be losing pressure once it gets warmed up? It still pumps but I haven't actually tested the pressure. I guess what I need to know is will low fuel pressure keep the injectors from spraying at all???

To be honest, your problem sounds like a classic ignition module failure. The coil pick up reference is used by the ECM and is passed along by way of the ignition module.

Yes but low fuel pressure usually shows gives hard start up on a cold start.
As wrightz28b says check electrical stuff.
Does it have good hot blue spark when no start?

Cool beans, thanks for posting the outcome. You did use a Ac/Delco replacement and applied the anti-heat grease provided?
