runs rough. shakes at time when shifted into next gear. uses antifreeze. head problem?:confused:

How do yo know it is misfiring on 4?

Have you checked the spark plug to make sure it si working? Plug wires are good and have good connection?

If you suspect a problem with the head, do a compression test of each cylinder before you decide to pull it off.

thank you. runnin through all that tomorrow mornin. car has high miles on it and dont feell like investing much into it. just started acting up last week. been useing antifreeze lateley and just did heads on a 2000 windstar v6 my primary ride. thanks again

If it is using antifreeze then the head is a possibility, but it could be leaking elsewhere too.

It could be something as simple as a bad plug.

Monitor your exhaust for signs of coolant... it should be easy to tell if the head gasket has gone. You can also check your oil... coolant in the oil will sometimes make it foamy... or you can crack the drain plug and see if coolant drips out before oil does.
