I have a 2005 G 2500 van with a 4.8 v-8 and im getting a P-0174B code which is a fuel trim system lean bank 2. I was told gm used the wrong intake gasket and this could make it run lean on that bank or could it be a o2 sensor going bad.The van only has 12,108 miles on it.

Have the dealer run vin it for enguine running problem TSB's.
A good engine capable check would help check 02 sensors and for engine running problems.
Any other codes?
Clear codes and see what comes back.

You need to get a good repair shop put it on a good engine capable scanner and read out fuel trims and check 02 sensor and other stuff.

Always make sure fuel pressure and fuel filter is good and do not let gas tank get low.

Run a complete fuel pressure test and check for vacuum leaks.

You could switch 02 sensors bank 1 1 to bank 2 1 to bank.
And see if codes go to other bank

Good luck and let us know how it goes.
