Hello.
I’m a new one on your site and this is my first time I show something on your judge over here.
I've decided to assemble a model of the most beautiful Formula -1 bolide. The model is to be a present for a friend, the same fun of Forlmula as I am. So I have:

1.A kit

2. Decal Marlboro and wooden sticker for bottom

http://photofile.ru/photo/doktor77_2005/115302094/large/124655844.jpg (http://photofile.ru/users/doktor77_2005/115302094/124655844/)

3. Carbone and Cevlar of Scale Motor Sport and Studio 27

So I gonna try to get it.
AT first I put some putty on the pinholes, and these were a lot. Some of them are found in such places, that is a real problem to be sanded off.

http://photofile.ru/photo/doktor77_2005/115302094/large/124655837.jpg (http://photofile.ru/users/doktor77_2005/115302094/124655837/)

http://photofile.ru/photo/doktor77_2005/115302094/large/124655838.jpg (http://photofile.ru/users/doktor77_2005/115302094/124655838/)

http://photofile.ru/photo/doktor77_2005/115302094/large/124655841.jpg (http://photofile.ru/users/doktor77_2005/115302094/124655841/)

While the putty on the cockpit is getting dry, I’ll do some small staff.
Tamya has imitated control blocks on airinlets.

http://photofile.ru/photo/doktor77_2005/115302094/middle/124679301.jpg (http://photofile.ru/users/doktor77_2005/115302094/124679301/)

But, as far as the inlet to be coated with carbone, and Tamya has made a mistake (originally there were a few control blocks), I cut the blocks off and made new ones. That’showitlooklike

http://photofile.ru/photo/doktor77_2005/115302094/middle/124679305.jpg (http://photofile.ru/users/doktor77_2005/115302094/124679305/)

http://photofile.ru/photo/doktor77_2005/115302094/middle/124679307.jpg (http://photofile.ru/users/doktor77_2005/115302094/124679307/)

Then I have started to make up the cone of engine’s air inlet.

http://photofile.ru/photo/doktor77_2005/115302094/middle/124679303.jpg (http://photofile.ru/users/doktor77_2005/115302094/124679303/)

http://photofile.ru/photo/doktor77_2005/115302094/middle/124679304.jpg (http://photofile.ru/users/doktor77_2005/115302094/124679304/)

That’s how I prepared an air inlet for coating with carbone/cevlar

http://photofile.ru/photo/doktor77_2005/115302094/middle/124995153.jpg (http://photofile.ru/users/doktor77_2005/115302094/124995153/)

http://photofile.ru/photo/doktor77_2005/115302094/middle/124995148.jpg (http://photofile.ru/users/doktor77_2005/115302094/124995148/)

A lot of to do with the bottom. A kit has too thick diffuser reebs. If you’ll try to imagine it in real size, you’ll aware that the bolide is almost armor-plated.

Before:

http://photofile.ru/photo/doktor77_2005/115302094/middle/124995214.jpg (http://photofile.ru/users/doktor77_2005/115302094/124995214/)

Now:

http://photofile.ru/photo/doktor77_2005/115302094/middle/124995213.jpg (http://photofile.ru/users/doktor77_2005/115302094/124995213/)

Next troubled place is board imitation. As far as I have a veneer sticker, Tamya’s board with a bottom to be taken off, due to put in on is impossible. At first, the thick of it would be out of scale, and at second – the sticker is a bit wider. So sand paper number 60, few hours and round oath hit my goal.

http://photofile.ru/photo/doktor77_2005/115302094/middle/124995150.jpg (http://photofile.ru/users/doktor77_2005/115302094/124995150/)

http://photofile.ru/photo/doktor77_2005/115302094/middle/124995152.jpg (http://photofile.ru/users/doktor77_2005/115302094/124995152/)

To show the difference in thickness I compare an original shank.

http://photofile.ru/photo/doktor77_2005/115302094/large/124995151.jpg (http://photofile.ru/users/doktor77_2005/115302094/124995151/)

I told you that a veneer board a bit wider, so that was enough to put it on. But I have got an idea for the future. Instead of buying such an automarket, the board casted on the bottom needed to be grazed of with gross sand-paper. Then paint it in basic color and tone with darker colors, this will imitate a wooden surface very good. But this is for the future.

That’s all for now.

P.S. Sorry for my english

Nice start. Always nice to see some of the older F1 kits around here.

I'll be checking regularly for progress.

PS: Do I see Geralt of Rivia as your avatar?

Hi!

The cone of airpipe is covered with decales and to be coated with clear laquer.

http://photofile.ru/photo/doktor77_2005/115302094/large/125779971.jpg (http://photofile.ru/users/doktor77_2005/115302094/125779971/)

The airinlets are coated with carbone, clear laquer on top, and today it'll be semigloss ones put on.

The body is painted and I've started up to shift the decales.
Panit: TS49 Bright Red seems to be in come.

That’s all for now.
