After the Porsche its time for something else... The Tamiya Toyota Gt-One. Always loved the body and color combo. Got some zero white and red laying around that would be perfect for this build ... Planning on adding some extra detail, Pe seatbelt, some wires on the engine, will see how far will go. Anyway, enough talking, pics:

It's weekend so had some time to build on the toyota...
Tires sanded (macro seems a bit overdone but in real they are perfect):

http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/11363/P1010419.JPG

Added som tire markings. Normally there should be michelin transfers on the tires but since i only have a bridgestone template for aibrush i've used this one. On the car should be decals for michelin but i have some bridgestone decals laying around in the spare parts box :)
Also first time that i painted brakedics metallic blue:

http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/11363/P1010412.JPG

Engine time... Once in place there will be added extra wires.
Tamiya chrome didnt show visible flaws so i left them as they were. Pic shows original part and weathered part:

Are you sure the nuts are red on all 4 wheels?!

The tires look realistic and you also did a nice job on the engine.

Thanks! The instructions said red on all 4 wheels (dubbel checked:)), i know normally one side is red and one blue...

Excellent progress on this build. Your detail painting and weathering is well done. The red wires on top of the engine, are they painted or did you add them? :dunno:

I'm pretty sure on one side is blue and on the other one is red, that's why I asked.

I'll have to take care not to follow the instructions when I'll build mine. ;)

Hello Jurgen
This build is going very well for you. I would like to know what brand of paint you are using for Red, White and clear? I also like when it's time to put the decals on. It can be the most fun although sometimes it makes you want to pull your hair out.

Hey KorkyOtt, thanks, i'm using zero paints... for this build i'm using brilliant white and ferrari red. The clear is also from zero paints, the pre-thinned clear. Both these and other zero colours can be ordered from hiroboy's site.

Looks great. One of my all time favourite race cars.

Small question, should the white area continue little higher and look like a triangle? Seems that you have cutted the corner away

I dont know if there have been differencies in liveries, but in this image white on front looks like a triangle.

Tamiya's instructions say only to use the large template ,kit is supplied with 2 extra triangle templates. (airscoop + nose) But i didn't found where to use them in the instructions. Normaly its for marlboro adds, but because it has never driven with these adds, tamiya says not to use them...

From the picture above it looks like they should go on the wing end plates.

Following the pic above they'll should... But if you look on the boxart on the first page, the triangles are rectangular on the wing end plates. And tamiya supplied decals for the wing end plates... So they are for the airscoop and nose. But i'm building for fun and its not a big deal to me if its not 100% like the real thing  Btw thanks for the comments!

Decals are on, normally there should be 2 japan logos on the rear above the esso add. But the previous owner did some strange things to the decals, you can see it a bit on the first pics of the topic.. There seems to be spilled something agressive on the decal, it has a black line in it.

Thanks for the comment... It's not a competition to be the best, just if you enjoy building, you can go a long way. I'm sure that if i build this kit a few years later that it will be much better than now... It just a matter of practising and learning from you re mistakes:)..
