Suby toon Fun...Blip 02-18-2009, 01:53 PM The contest stuff got me to think about the first Subaru I remembering seeing. Neighbor had one of the early 70's AWD wagons and use to say that it was such a good climber, it could go right up the side of a mountain, so... The pencil doodle that started it all. http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z130/Darkblip/Artwork/CAR-toons/SubyAWDWagon01.jpg Vector line work layer above, and using some thing a bit different for me. Most of the line work is usually drawn with the "B-spline" tool, but have done some this time with the "freehand pen" tool. http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z130/Darkblip/Artwork/CAR-toons/SubyAWDWagon02.jpg Now just the vector line work... http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z130/Darkblip/Artwork/CAR-toons/SubyAWDWagon03.jpg Thinking about coloring it using ArtRage, a paint program, but first got to finish the lines. lemorris 02-18-2009, 02:59 PM awesome! Hyprr--I catch myself tilting my head too as I work on this one.:iceslolan Finished the Big horn and started the "painting" process. Takes much longer than I thought doing it this way instead of with vector fills. http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z130/Darkblip/Artwork/CAR-toons/SubytoonAR01.jpg GirlBear 02-18-2009, 09:24 PM wow thats sick!! subyfanatic 02-18-2009, 10:35 PM LOL! Dom--There is something about that old style Suby wagon that's so ugly that it's almost fun to look at. Thanks for the Aussie model name, now can search under that for more ref photos. (Can't deside what color to use for the body.) My uncle and aunt had one too, and they drove it until the rust pretty much eat it up. But, it never left them struck and they live way back in the woods only to be reached by single lane gravel/dirty roads. lemorris 02-19-2009, 09:30 AM love it the line work is fabulous PDQ VW 02-19-2009, 01:34 PM I'm all about the jealousy of your stuffs!!!!!!
