I assume you will have to purchase a new one. If this is the case ask for instructions but I think you will need a manual. Napa may also sell the switches. HeMi101 02-13-2009, 10:08 PM Very common problems in 00-05 Monte Carlos and impalas: The Multifunction switch is probably shot. could even cause you to loose all headlights all of a sudden one night while driving. jrmy1krn 03-10-2009, 12:09 PM I have a 2005 monte and one night a few months ago I was driving down a dark country road at 2am with my brights on. I would think that after 100 years we would perfect the headlght switch. But I guess the guys at GM like to shake things up (until they fall apart). Well there I was driving with my brights on when the headlights quit working all together. Luckily I was able to not go in the ditch but I did drive the last 2 miles by the light of my 4way flashers. Seems obvious to me this is a big safety issue. deepzone 10-20-2009, 09:19 AM It is definately the multifunction switch......that went bad on my 2001 monte carlo.....i replaced the multifunction switch located on the steering column and nnow my lights and highbeam switch work vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
