What exactly is the pressure at and staying at after it dies? It sounds as if it is only running on the primed pressure. Additionally how much gas was in it when parked and what kind of conditions has the vehicle been subjected to while being stored?

How is it with 3/4 tank of fuel in it? The reason I ask is because my`95 is suckin` air at 1/4 tank of fuel. Apparently an issue with this era faulty/inaccurate sending unit. I`m likely wrong just thought I`d throw this out there you never know, maybe it`s picking up a whif of fuel!

I'd start checking the wriing out then and make sure no little critters chewed on them while sitting, especially the cam and crank sensors.
