18" Mustang Wheels on my WindstarJon04CTSV 01-23-2009, 05:10 PM As some of you know my daily driver is a '96 Ford Windstar. Earlier this year I got this crazy idea to put Mustang wheels on it for the summer, and put winter tires on my factory wheels for the winter. Bought some take-offs and a set of wheel adapters... After a buncha headaches everything worked out. Anyway, it warmed up today so I quickly through them on for a test fit and drive. Everything works perfectly! http://www.jon04ctsv.com/windstargl_album5/img_3240a_std.jpg http://www.jon04ctsv.com/windstargl_album5/img_3242a_std.jpg http://www.jon04ctsv.com/windstargl_album5/img_3254a_std.jpg http://www.jon04ctsv.com/windstargl_album5/img_3237_std.jpg Yes I need to paint the calipers. 12Ounce 01-23-2009, 06:38 PM Very nice look! When you're painting, you may want to brush black-out that down standing flange on the rocker panel. Just a thought. s1120 01-30-2009, 09:32 AM Thay look awsome!!! What kinda adapters did you need?? Jon04CTSV 01-30-2009, 01:04 PM Thay look awsome!!! What kinda adapters did you need?? You need wheel adapters to convert the bolt pattern to the Mustang bolt pattern. I went with hub-centric and wheel-centric ones. Was about $300 for a set of 4. Jon04CTSV 10-08-2009, 02:55 PM Sorry to bump an old thread. I ended up selling my Windstar in March. The wheel adapters that I had made are for sale. If you want to do what I did and put Mustang wheels (or any 5x114.3 wheel) on your Windstar, here's your chance. The adapters are basically brand new. I put them on mid winter for a test fit and to take the pictures I posted above, then took them back off. Was going to use them in the summer, but ended up selling the Windstar. :( Jon04CTSV 11-14-2009, 04:25 PM Bump in case anyone wants to run 5x114.3 wheels. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
