95 Deville Blower Motor Replacement

I recently replaced my blower motor and the air seems to be flowing fine except it doesn't come out hot when I'm idling. Hot air only comes out while driving. I tried to de-ice my windshield this morning and for about half an hour only cold air came out until I got up to speed. Any ideas?

Also, after wrestling with that blower motor (before I figured out that I had to cut the duct) I think I may have done something to the spark plug wires because it seems like it is missing a cylinder or two. They wires are cheap autolite ones that are about a year old, same as the plugs. I drive a 110 mile round trip commute five days a week, could it be time already for new wires? I've visually inspected the wires and they look fine, they're not even dirty. The clips that holds them in place above the valve cover appears gone though, but they don't seem to be melted or burnt.

Should I get higher quality wires?
