95 Blazer Ignition SwitchCruize 01-07-2009, 10:30 PM Just wanted to say that I was able to clean the contacts on my '95 Blazer ignition switch rather than purchasing a new switch to fix the intermittent no start problem. Also, I went to the hardware store and got some #6 sheet metal screws (6 cents each) with a combination socket head / flat head screwdriver slot to replace the reverse Torx head screws. The #6 screws are slightly smaller in diameter than the original screws and require a little more care when starting the screws, but I think they'll be ok. I drove about 100 miles (bounced through a small cornfield, too) w/o the screws and the ignition switch didn't fall out, so I guess the screws will just be added protection. old_master 01-08-2009, 06:22 PM If you look close at the threads, I think you'll find they're metric. My hardware store didn't have metric screws, so I skimped and used the next best thing. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
