Had a cassette player in the dash. The only mod is a factory CD player from ebay and a couple of Sony speakers in the back. It's been trouble free, 63K miles. I love it. Wrecked 6 times. 5 times hit in the front 1 time in the rear. Motor runs ok but idles rough. Has a mix of dexcool and green anti freeze. Rear strut towers are rotting out, light and water gets thru theese days. The ground effects are held on by and mixture of tape and glue. This winter the rust really started to come out. I have driven thi car to hell and back and drove it hard the entire way. I am curently looking to buy another W body grand prix GTP. Hopefully from the south and with lower miles. My wife inherited my L67 Regal GS. :crying: GM did a great job with the GXP. It even has the FE4 suspension system which means Bilstein struts stock. Monsoon 9 speaker sound system and the driver information center (DIC) has so many features and data I can't keep up with it. The 5.3L V8 is very smooth. However, as mentioned my GTP is faster due to the few thousand dollar mods I've dumped into it over the past several years. There is torque steer but no worse than a GP with a Series II/III 3800 supercharged engine. What the GM engineers did is came up with a weird tire/wheel combination to help minimize or control it. Specially made Z rated Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires. The front are P255/45R18 and the rear P225/50R18. Also, it has the FE4 suspension/handling package with Bilstein struts all around and higher rate strut coil springs. Also, how about a HUD and Tap Shift? The over 12 inch special rotors with the GXP logo calipers are really nice but prone to premature failure. The first GXP I bought had a brake job done by the dealership under warranty according the the CarFax service history. People that do the VR4 twin turbo conversion on their SL's have the most horrid torque steer you can imagine.
