The diorama base looks excellent.
Very convincing. I don't know if it's possible, but maybe you can make some tracks/grooves in the base as if to simulate that several cars had already passed over it.

Work on the Peugeot looks promising too. The shocks look very good.
Are you going to weather the car once it is finished ?

Thank you!

Not bad idea, but since the diorama got dry already, i can't make grooves onto it...I did a blow trace anyway ,but not show very much only:(
And yes,i going to weather the car:smile:

Promissing diorama, I agree
have you thought to use the Renaissance TK to correct Tamiya mistakes on the model ?
it would be a shame not to have an accurate version over such a diorama. :naughty:

The rear wing is wider on this evo, Tamiya only add the flaps without enlarging its base...
Dashboard is also different.

PM me your address I may have some references for you

I never said there were mistakes on the body except rear wing, it's the main mistake in fact but inside there's also a different dashboard to install.
(if you are really mad of accuracy :evillol: )

Don't worry you don't build it for me but for you ! :evillol:

If you can't/don't want to buy another TK you can try to enlarge it youself, because the PE set you've ordered provides the flaps if I'm not wrong.

The dashboard difference isn't that noticeable so of you correct the rear wing nobody would know it's wrong.

please PM you email, or if you agree I'll post the references here soon.

Can you explain it punctually where/what is the problem with the rear wing? Possibly show it on a drawing:)?I would try to repair it myself

and PM sent

I have to prepare some pics through photoshop and take pics of my brother's model and maybe a nude TK i still haven't used but I'll need 1 or 2 days because I don't have everything in hands... I may have to go to another flat in my family house where I store some models to be built to find a nude TK because I think I don't have any unused here...
But I'll try my best to explain the difference as good as possible.
I'll post some pics here and send some more to you by email.

Ok so here are some pics I took this evening of the Renaissance Transkit compared to Tamiya parts and some of the result on the 2003 livery.
I still have to upload some pics of the real car but all the pics are in this gallery (http://s36.photobucket.com/albums/e14/phil67c/Peugeot%20206%20WRC%2003/).

The first strange thing is that on the box art Tamiya shows the right rear wing :screwy:

I'll upload in my gallery and post here some pics of the real car as soon as I find the most interesting.

You're welcome

Yes I still have some more but expected to be used as I still have several trankits to build on different 206 WRC.
My brother has already completed one of his models using the transkit, the Argentina livery shwon on the pics.

This TK is still available at Renaissance:

http://www.renaissance-models.com/1-24/TK_pour_site/tk24_157.htm

You also can find the one to convert the 2000 Evo into 2001/early 2002 evo

Yes,but I think the transkit is very expensive:crying: Or only for me:uhoh:

And I gave a thought to it,that your transkit we would be able to copy ,I need the wing and the dashboard only:eek7:

Although I would be able to transform the dashboard and the wing forgiving even myself for the pictures possibly even!
On the dashboard roughly only the socket of the right side display false,I can make it. The wing though only wider? The design is totally identical?

Thanks

Well, on one hand it costs 20 euros for several resin parts and PE, which is not so much expensive (but France is expensive to produce something...) but on the other hand 20 euros is almost the price of the kit !
I can say anything, only you can decide concerning the price.

Yes it is able to copy the wing, I did it once, I must have the mold somewhere...
But it's not impossible to enlarge, cos' yes it's the only thing required, and repositionning the flap on it (more space between them) of course.

on the dashboard, you have a new display of the switches but you can also rebuild it yourself.
the shape of the central console is a bit different (see the pic from the side) but nothing than can't be made by yourself.
for the socket it's a bit more complicated I suppose, but surely not impossible...

If I still have the mold of the wingh I'll try to make you a sample.

Okay,thank you!

I try to modify the dashboard ,and when you can copy the rear wing to me,it would be very very big help for me:worshippy:worshippy:worshippy

Thanks
