Here is a Fujimi kit with Scale Design Decals and S27 photoetch I have been working on. I'm a novice compared to the great 917 builds of RallyRaider and SEANYG but welcome any comments that will help me.

I'm getting closer! Fit the windscreen, a few small parts, repair and touch up and I should be done!

This is looking great. Good work on the decals... Keep it up. The only thing that seems a bit odd is your seat fabrication. It looks a little out out of scale.

Reminds of my build. This is the best livery on a 917K - ever. Period.

Thanks for the replys, I welcome them all good, bad or indifferent.
I tried using Model Factory Hiro fabric on the seat. It looks better in person, but still has the appearance of a fluffy sheepskin cover. I've been using this as a practice 917 before building a more detailed (detailed engine, brakes, etc.) #23 Lemans winner. If you have any different ideas on the seat I'd love to know.

p.s. I just bought a new TV after 25 years of the old one, 42 inch LCD. I'm now in the process of wearing out my Steve McQueen movie LeMAns!:naughty:

I'm almost there. I still need to finish the photo etch work, then touch-up and a final detailing.

Looks very nice. Mike Quarterman/UMI did the artwork for both Studio 27 and Scale Designs. The Scale Designs are for the Heller/Union kit and Studio 27 for Fujimi.
