Antifreeze leak

My '92 G30 5.7 is leaking antifreeze when shutdown. In the morning if I look at the engine, there will be antifreeze around the thermostat housing. Not from the gasket leaking but from the hose downward. The clamp is tight. The neck was not pitted when I replaced the hoses. Also recently had a leak at the heater hose on the rear of the intake which dripped down the back of the engine one night. That clamp is tight. All hoses were recently replaced.

It seems like excessive pressure is building up overnight. I've never seen this problem. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Jim

Put a pressure tester on the system, pump it up to cap rating then observe.

For the thermostat housing, try using 2 hose clamps, side by side.

For the heater hose, consider removing the hose and looking to see if the heater core pipe is distorted. These are usually copper and can easily be distorted by over-tightening a hose clamp.

Also check or change the radiator cap. It is possible for a system to build up too much pressure, but only if the cap is defective.
