Two Issues - Turn Signals and Dying on Corners

Hello All! New to the AF here!

I have read extensively on the whole Turn Signals issues.

First Problem: Blinkers turn solid in the front, while the rear blink furiously. Hazards work fine.
At times, the blinkers will not work at all, but with a wiggle of the Hazard Switch, they will return to blinking furiously (Rear only still. The front lights turn solid).
My Probable Resolution: Replace the Turn Signal Switch.
Yes/No?

Second Problem: Car dies when turning corners.
Any information on this issue would be greatly appreciated!
My wife says it will only die when turning corners and she has to quickly start her back up before causing a pile up!

Try replacing the front turn signals first (easy to do and cheap). If you notice that the driver side turn signal has burned marks on the contacts, you may want to replace the connector (about $35 at the dealership for the part). If this does not resolve the issue, you may have a bad hazard switch.

The stalling issue could be a couple of things. First, is the "Service Engine soon" light on? I had this exact issue several years ago. My mechanic looked at my key chain and told me to take a few of the unnecessary keys and knick-knacks off. His theory was the key chain was dangling so low that when I turned a corner, my knee hit the key chain just enough that the car turned off. Also the weight of the key chain wears on the igntion switch which is notoriously weak on dash mounted ignitions. I took off all the unnecessary items and it has never happened again. If this did not work, he told me he would check the crankshaft position sensor (CKS) as this sensor monitors fuel flow during turns.

A bad CKS will eventually trip the "service engine soon" light which is why i asked if this light was on.

Good luck

I will first replace both front turn signals.
Could it still be the Hazard switch if the hazards work fine? I have read that the Signal Switch is the part to replace.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

About the stalling: what you said=what I will try. My fiance (this is her car by the way) has a TON of crap on her keyring. I mean a bunch bunch.
I will strip that stuff off and see what happens.

it definitely could be the hazard switch. I like to start with the easiest, cheapest option first. Replacing the turn signal bulbs will cost you about $5-$6 and about 10 minutes time. If the new bulbs don't work, then you can take a look at the hazard switch. You should be able to find the instructions on replacing the hazard switch by doing a search on this forum.

About the turn signals blinking furiously, when the blinkers on the cars at my job click fast, it means the light bulb is about to to burn out.

Have you tried replacing the bulb?
