Just a couple of days ago my 2002 Crown Vic started making a moderate clicking noise, asoon as it happend my oil meter dropped past low. I pulled over, turned the car off and checked my oil level, it was fine. i started it backup and still showed low. I got home and pulled the engine cover off, loosened the belt n spun all the pullys, spun the fan, all seemed fine. checked for loose connections (sensors, ect.) all fine. put belt back on and started. Checked for noise, sounded like it was coming from manifold area?? HELP PLZ!

From just your description, it sounds like the oil pump amy be failing or the cam bearings are worn out. You may want to get a mechanical gauge put on it to see what the pressure actually is. If pressure actually drops out, the pump is probably at fault.

I would using a manual gage and get an accurate pressure reading. This is a picture of one. http://www.autopart.com/tools/toolsmain/tool/T_2001.htm
If the pressure is actually low pull the pan and clean the strainer. If it isn't real dirty install a new oil pump. Check the rod and main bearings while the pan is off.
