Is there any one out there with a pic or two of how to changing the fuel injector spider on a 1997 GMC 5.7L Vortech engine?

I need to see if I can figure out how to do it my self, I'm a semi novice at engine repair.

At this piont if I took it to the dealer I would have to sell a kidney, so I am stuck doing it my self.

Is there any special tools I need? I hear a torque wrench is one but is that like the trans pan trick, where you hand tighten the bolt and than 1/4 turn two times around till 1/2 or something like that? (just as an exaple)

Thank you for any help and happy holidays.

Where I bought the NEW spider I asked if they wanted the old one back (core) and I was told "NOWAY". So you shouldn't buy it new.

The new one really has the same body area the change is where the injectors are, they're at the ends of the legs on the spider a wire fallows out of the body to the ends of the legs they are true injectors now at the tip.
The old one had two prongs holding the injector leg into the port.
The new one does not it's smooth high temp nylon white plastic, it clicks slightly into place.
This is the pic's I took changing it (link bellow). Check out one of the last pic's where I have the new spider out, yours should look like that one. Notice the tips. Everything was numbered to match numbers on the engine and spider block.

Im planning to change mine over to the multiport injection in the spring(mine leaks). The factory single port is terrible. Hows your truck running now that you made the switch?
