in the summer my 2002 explorer with auto 4wd(or 4 hi or 4 low) ....the light was flashing 4x4...i was told to disconnect the battery and reconnect!! that solved my blinking 4x4 light problem....but now my auto 4x4 isnt working and i cant get the vehicle in 4x4 at all!! can anyone help me??or have advise on where i go next?? on the dash it has the typical 4 auto,4x4 hi,and 4x4 lo buttons...nothing works and the 4x4 light does not come on

There have been quite a few posts detailing issues with the transfer case selector motor, try searching the forum and seeing if there are tests for that that might help you properly diagnose the issue. You may be able to pull the selector motor, position the transfer case into 4x4 high and manually move the servo to get you by, but I'm not sure.
