97 Blazer tranny/ transfer case

Replacing 97 blazer trans and transfer case. Does anyone know what years are compatable? Going to salvage yard... np/233 tc.

The bone yard will be able to tell you. Bring the old stuff along and match it up.

did two used trans in my 96, the number of pins on the main electrical connection was one issue. the paper tag on the bell has trans I.D. one of the trans I used had a couple of letters off but still worked(yard said it was the same) but the degree of rotation at the shifter on the trans was shorter so the column shift indicater never lined up with the right gear even though they all worked

The transmission is 1997 only and I am not sure on the transfer case.I used to hate the the jiffy tite fittings,not anymore since I bought the special release tool for them.They take less time to remove over the flare nut fittings and do not leak

Thanks for the info! on the tranny. I think the bone yard i'm dealing with has given me a newer yr tranny and t/c. what is your source for the info on the 1997 trans only for a 97? Would this effect shifting? Electronics? such as ecm functon, T/c shift module?(not switch on dash) Over heat trans?

Looked it up in the interchange book, the Hollander and I believe is is the electronics
