I need to find the horn relay on a 1995 88. i have swapped all alike relays under the hood, and the passenger side relay box, also the 2 at the drivers side fusebox, and the horn still doesn`t blow. the fuse is good( checked with test light), horns are plugged in and there is NO relay clicking. anyone know for SURE where the HORN relay is at on here? i`m wanting to confirm the relay before changing the horn button.
Thanks.

How do you know the relay is the problem to begin with? Remove the horn pad and check for continuity thru the horn contact to the connector at the bottom of the column. Check the info at autozone.com reapir guides for addt'l info.

Or go ahead and ground the black wire at the connector under the steering wheel (mentioned above) and see if you hear the horn- instead of the relay.

I did not say that i KNOW the relay is the problem, i asked if anyone KNOWS where the relay is so that i can check it. i don`t know where that came from, but anyway... do you know where the relay is?????? this is the 2nd step after checking the fuse BEFORE i look to the horn button. the car is not here, it is 90 miles away so i am gathering info before i make the trip to look at it again. Thank you in advance if you do know where the relay is though, and i will see if there is any info i can use in the link.

okay thanks for that, i didnt know which wire was for the horn, but is that gonna be the only black wire on that plug? i`ll ground it when i go back to the car and see what it does. i have to make a 90 mile trip to get to the car, so i`m trying to gather as much info as possible before making the trip. thanks again! i`ll repost with the results.
still interested if anyone knows where the relay is incase this doesn`t work.

The horn relay is on the relay rack under cover on firewall in center off engine compartment- it is the one with two 12v (fuse #3 15 amp) battery hot orange wires, 1 black (feed from horn switch) and 1 green (switched circuit to both horns) wires. Jumper either orange to green to test horns- and check continuity to ground of black wire to check horn button....

Really simple circuit......I'm always amazed how no service manual will ever tell you the exact position on a relay rack of a given relay-- I guess they are afraid the positions will get changed and then they will mess you up later...Have fun-- Horn circuits are normally the first circuits used as training circuits in automotive classes 101.....

Have fun....
