My gf`s 1988 Olds 88 just started doing something weird. The front driver`s side wheel is growling and the pitch increases with speed. We just replaced that very wheel bearing a couple of months ago. Could it be going bad again? Also, when you apply the brakes, going from about 5mph to a complete stop, the brakes "shudder" right before it comes to a complete stop, but only if you really put alot of pressure on the pedal. Feels like the same wheel that has the bearing growl. Any coorelation,or are they two completely different issues??????

Take it apart and look for something loose, no other way to find out what is going on, no?

Yesterday I noticed it would shudder with the steering wheel turned left while acelerating hard. My guess is the cv joint? Anyway,I`m going to replace the cv and bearing while I`ve got it apart.
