93 f150 4x4 front end shake?|WYG|SS 11-30-2008, 11:06 PM hi got a 93 f150 4.9L 300 5 speed and today we got a slushy type of snow so it was slippery so i threw it in 4 high and had both hubs locked in. i was going up a hill and gave it some gas and i felt the front end shake a lot more in the drivers side. then i get home and was pulling into driveway and started spinning and when i backed up i noticed that i could see the cement under the right(pass) front wheel but not the left(drivers). im thinking i might have a bad hub? i had bought the truck in june so this is like the 2nd or third time i had used the 4wheel drive, it snowed like a week ago. can i ruin the gears if it is a bad hub? could it be a bad hub? Are they the self locking type of hubs? IRC - the self lockers won't lock up in reverse. If it hasn't been used for a while, it must be rusted in the unlocked mode. |WYG|SS 12-02-2008, 09:10 AM they are manual lock. like i said it is like the 3rd time i used sinci i bought the truck in june. so it just could have been slipping. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
