There is no readout on the comfortemp unit. I suspect the LEDs are burnt out. Is it possible to replace the LEDs without replacing the entire unit? If so, how?

it may be easier to just get a replacement at the junk yard. Caution, there are several configurations of electronic controls. Gte one that matches yours. It is pretty easy to remove the trim. Then just a couple of screws to get it out.

Look for hvac controller buick on ebay.

There used to be instructions on the web for resoldering resistors on Regal units that were similar to leSabre. The resistance from bad solder joints caused the readout to be dim.

If you were sure the part controls the heater/AC correctly and it's just the digital readout, that might be worth looking into. Otherwise about $40-$50 would get you a unit out of another car from the recyclers on Ebay.

There used to be someone who rebuilt your part that you sent in and returned it in a few short days. Couldn't find that listing on Ebay.
