Where to cut blower housing?cbec1999 11-24-2008, 03:56 PM Anybody got pics where to cut the blower housing '98 Jimmy? Mine occasionally needs a tap on the housing right near the top to start the fan spinning. Supposedly it's a common problem. The part at the question mark is NOT the offending part. http://www.corvette-guru.com/uploads/newbb/1687_4920715599252.jpg http://www.corvette-guru.com/uploads/newbb/1687_49207167ab72c.jpg MT-2500 11-25-2008, 09:36 AM Proper testing before throwing parts at it or chopping it up. May be just a bad connection or ground or maybe bad resister or blower motor. But I never heard of chopping it up to fix it. Where did you get chop it up for repair :nono: ? Good Luck. Chris Stewart 11-28-2008, 09:52 PM Isn't the blower just to the left and below the refrigerent/AC Delphi sticker...almost in the fender? http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p288/Clunk_/S10blower.jpg Chris Stewart 11-29-2008, 11:37 AM I see your year model. The pic above is a 2000 S10. The 1997 Service Manual shows a "cut the housing then tape it back up after replacing the motor" repair. There were lines on my '97 housing that showed where to cut to access the blower motor. Here is/was an excellent post that used to have pictures. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=521408 vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
