Got a 98 Sierra ext cab. This past summer my son noticed water dripping on the floor in the passeneger front seat. I thought about the drain for the AC. Never got around to fix it and now w/o AC just rain I see dripping when I get in the truck. Does the same drain tube let all moisture out? And, where in the cab to I find it and fix it?:banghead:

If you look under the vehicle on the passenger side firewall there should be a short rubber tube sticking out of the firewall. This is the drain tube for the A/C box. If it is not there, then it either is inside the box, causing the A/C evaporator condensation to drain into the box and through the box seam onto the floor, or it was broken off, again alowing moisture into the box and onto the floor. Your sure its water and not coolant ? Chevy heater cores do not usually have a very long life span on some models due to insufficient engine grounding.

It's not coolant. Just water. I noticed driving to Canada on a vacation. No rain and A/C was on all the way up and my son commented about the drips. I use a junk yard car for commuting lately and when I drove it on a rainy weekend I saw water before I started the truck.
