I have no power to my van when I turn the ignition switch on. I have 10 volts across the battery and the internal light comes on when the door opens, otherwise there is nothing going on. I am wondering if it could be a relay? or a break in a circuit. Any advice you may have would be wecome.

Check the battery voltage with the ignition turned on, what do you get for a reading?

If the reading drops off with the key on, the battery is dead and needs to be charged or replaced. If it's dead, you could have an issue with the alternator not working.

Up around the brake booster are the fusible links for the van. If any of those have burnt, it could explain the power loss as well.

Thanks for the advice; you were on the money. There was only 2 volts across the battery with the key in. I changed the battery and it all looks good. I seem to be getting a charge from the alternator but will keep an eye on it. Many thanks.
