intermittent problem on friends s-10. Sometimes it won't start. Turns over and cranks just won't start. Has hapened 3 times in the last month. Never stalls or runs bad. Runs great until it is turned off and try to start later. Will check distributor tomorrow.
V-6 w/ EDI ignition.

I am thinking along the lines of ignition switch or antitheft system. I have been reading about on the web about a passlock system.

It runs great once started so I am initially ruling out fuel pump, filter, and looking more to ign coil and distrib rotor and cap.

Check fuel pressure when no start.
You need 64-65 lbs on a cold start.
