Inquiry about buying Crown Victoria 1998

Hi, I would like to inquire about your opinion on buying a crown victoria 1998.

The car looks nice, and is in a good shape, just what's bothering and worrying me is that the mileage is 174 000 miles, (280 000km).

And my other question is concerning the engine and it's normal life-span, if the car has been used under normal circumstances, how many miles (approximately) should one still be able to drive with it until the engine becomes too exhausted?

Life depends on how it has been maintained. With regular maintenance prescribed by Ford using good oil those engines anf tranys will go 250K miles and still be strong. Do yourself a favor. Take it to a mechanic who does used car checks and for about $100. they'll go completely through it and tell you if they find potential problems.

It sounds good, i would not even really worry about the engine. You could pick up a good low mileage engine for about $500. They are VERY common

He might not do his own work it makes a big difference.
