Murder Mystery Oil Soak How-to

Purpose: To reduce oil consumption in the Saturn S-series by freeing stuck oil rings. To increase cylinder compression by freeing stuck compression rings.

Tools needed:
Spark plug removal socket
Ratchet
Rag
1 container of Murder Mystery Oil (16oz red container)
Funnel or turkey baster
Measuring Cup ( you will be measuring out 2oz)

::NOTE:: This is an overnight operation. Make sure you are able to dedicate time after the soak is complete.
::NOTE:: More than one soak may be needed for desired results. Increasing soak time may possibly increase results

Time Needed: 10 min for set up. 12 hrs for soak. 10 min for clean up

Procedure:
1. Remove the spark plug boots from the spark plugs. Set them aside.
2. Remove the spark plugs. Set them aside
3. Using the measuring cup measure out 2oz of the MMO.
4. Using the turkey baster or funnel, add 2 oz to the first cylinder.
5. Repeat 3 and 4 for each cylinder. This should leave you with half of the MMO left
6. Place a rag lying over the cylinder holes to keep anything out.
7. Allow the car to sit overnight
8. After the soak overnight, crank the engine over with the rag still over the spark plug holes. This will allow any access fluid to be removed.
9. Reinstall the spark plugs
10. Reinstall the sparkplug boots
11. OPTIONAL: Dump the remaining MMO into your gas tank.
12. Start the car. You will see smoke out the exhaust. This is normal and will go away over time.
