2004 Ford Taurus heater not working!bigduly 11-07-2008, 06:49 PM My father's 04 Taurus is having problems giving off heat. The A/C works fine, but when switching from cold to hot it does not work. We replaced the thermostat, but is still unable to produce heat. A mechanic told us it could be the climate control module. How can we tell if this is the problem? Is it expensive to replace it? Can we repair it by ourselves? Can anybody help us out? LeSabre97mint 11-07-2008, 08:25 PM My father's 04 Taurus is having problems giving off heat. If your heater hoses are hot then the blend door is stuck in the cool position. Dan way2old 11-09-2008, 04:39 PM Look up under the center of the dash. There is a white box that is the blend door actuator. Check to see if the lever is moving while moving the temperature control. Here is a drawing of it. http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s214/way2old1/taurusblenddooractuator.gif vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
