Hello please help, I have a 93 SL2 manual. I recently replace my O2 sensor because it was showing a O2 sensor fault. It is starting to get cold here in Colorado so when i drive in to work in the mornings everything is fine. But when i drive home the outside temp has been in the 70's and about half way through my 32 mile commute the check engine light comes on and goes off the rest of the way home. I'm lost did i get a faulty O2 sensor????

Get the SES Codes. Use a paper clip to get the SES light to flash and post the code.

Replace your ECTS also. One with the 2-wire connector.

Why did you replace the o2 in the first place?

I changed out the o2 sensor because i have a scan tool. And it was showing a o2 sensor fault. So i then replaced it and now it comes on intermitently on warm days. I have replaced the ects i did that last year. Hope you can help

IIRC autozone does not have an OBD I reader. Use a paper clip to get the codes.

Also what ECTS did you replace? Your car has two, the one with the two wire connecter needed to be replaced.

I have my own code reader and i have pulled the code as soon as it comes on. I have one of the code readers that tells you what it is, not a number. And it reads O2 sensor fault. I replaced the two wire ects.

Thank you for the help i think i figured it out. I had and HHO generator hooked up earlier this summer and thought i dissconnected it but i didn't therefor water was being sucked into the intake causing the o2 sensor to malfunction.
