(2) service engine soon lightsdgallo_2000 10-30-2008, 11:27 AM I have a 2000 Grand Am GT, and I noticed that this car has 2 service engine soon lights. One on the Tac side, and one on the Speedometer side. This morning, the one on the left (tac) side was flashing. On my old 2000 Malibu, when the check engine light flashed, it ment a misfire. (Cause on Malibu was a broken plug). This morning, when I accelurated to avoid a deer, the light was flashing. Does that left side lite act as a check engine light? Some sales guy at Advanced Autoparts said I was stupid, as my car does have a "Check Engine" light. I need help! brcidd 10-30-2008, 12:34 PM You are not stupid- here is your Instrument cluster layout- there is a Service Engine Soon (SES) light and a Service Vehicle Soon (SVS) light-- so both will set codes-for for their particular problems (PCM related- SES) and Service Vehicle Soon will light if body control problems (BCM related-SVS) so have your code(s) read.... http://i34.tinypic.com/2v0d4s2.jpg dgallo_2000 10-30-2008, 12:39 PM OMG...
