I have a 99 Monte and Im having trouble trying to figure out why the abs isnt working. The light is on so I took it to the mechanic and he ran diagnostics on it and said that all 4 wheel sensors were working and he said that there were not any codes in the computer. He tried t reset it and this did not work. Does anyone have any ideas?

If the lite is on then there should be a code stored if he is using a full function abs scanner,.

all 4 wheel sensors were working??? but he couldn't see any codes????


did he inspect all the wheel sensors for wiring damage and output???

He tried to reset the 'no codes in the computer'. HA! With a light on no less! And it didn't work??? No! It's HIM that don't work.

Did you see his shoes? Do they have a thumb-hole near the side of the heel? :rofl:

Are you sure ABS is not working? Try it in a parking lot? See if you feel the pressure let off when you slam on the brakes, and the pedal goes down a little further....
