ok i have a 1990 gsx that wont fire, i have read through these threads but not found one on this. i have put three coil packs on it, along with three power transistrs, two crank/cam sensors and a computer but still no fire. i had a friend tell me it maybe a sensor on the turbo? any one that could help would be greatly appr. i'm about to the point of just selling it. i have also checked all the fuses i can find, is their any other than under the hood?

I too have been having a similar issue. ('90 turbo Laser, cranks but no spark).
In the process of diagnosing this one, we too checked the coil pack and power transistor (both checked good), as well as throwing on a spare CAS I had laying around.

I checked to see if I could get a code from the ECU, but came up normal. Did you check to see if you were getting an error code thrown?

And yes, there is a fuse box by the floor on the drivers side in the car.

Well, I had my buddy check out the car I'm working on, and came up with something really bad. Timing belt.

Pull off your timing belt cover and see if the cams turn when you crank the engine. When we had the timing cover off before, we didn't suspect anything. The belt itself just had a little bit of marks on it, but appeared solid.

Hopefully you won't find this same on yours :crying:

what do you mean by your belt was "solid"?

and I am interested in if 5438kr fixed his car.

Well, by "solid", I mean that with only the timing belt cover removed, the belt appeared to still have tension on it. Also, the belt seemed to be in fairly decent condition except for one 'small' fact. There are... I would almost call them skid marks on the belt. Another DSMer friend of mine looked at the belt and told me it reminded him of when someone did not put the short oil pan bolts in the correct place, hence them bumping the timing belt.
