1998 Crown Victoria Power Problem

My 1998 Crown Vic has been having problems starting. And now it will not start. When I tried to start it, the motor tried to catch on and then it died down. Sort of like a two cycle engine with the throttle wide open. I kept trying until the battery went dead. I know it is not the starter, or the alternator. some one told me it might be the fuel pump or one of the sensors. Does anyone have any ideas what is causing the problem? Also can any one provide a website with the diagram of a 1998 Crown Victoria or tell me where the fuel pump is located?

if your gonna work on it go get a haynes or chilton manual for '98 crown vic and it will show you where everything is and tell you how to take it apart.the fuelpump is in the gas tank. find the shrader valve [looks like an air valve on a tire] its on the fuel rail. and see if you have fuel pressure on it. but if your gonna work on it get a book
