I was holding my wife's new wedding ring over the emergency brake in the center console when - whoops! - I dropped it. I haven't been able to find that ring since. I took out the center console and no luck. I haven't removed the seats, but for the most part with a flashlight I can see the inside of the tracks. Anybody have any ideas?

Take the seats out I found french fries from a previous owner that I had never seen when I removed mine. Be careful not to hurt your back those things are heavy if you have power seats.

Fortunately I don't have power seats so they shouldn't be that heavy. Thanks for the advice, though. By the way, what tools are necessary to take them out? It's hard to get a regular size socket wrench in there.

It could roll under the carpet. Try this first.

Good luck.

On mine there were some plastic caps at each end of the seat slide rails that you pop off and then just remove the bolts four for each seat and unplug anything you find plugged in. You might even find the ring just loosening the bolts and lifting a little bit.
