What do you guys recommend. FYI also, I'm a pretty aggresive driver. Thanks R. OneBadasz71tahoe 10-21-2008, 05:49 PM Save your money and get something worth buying. Go with Delco Durastops. They may cost you $20-$40 more, but they will last you much longer. j cAT 10-21-2008, 06:22 PM Hey guys, I have an 02 tahoe and I'm trying to find out what brand is prefered? Thanks R. the most preferred with the vehicle owners I deal with are the cheapest available....bendix, wagner etc.... I use OEM brake pads....very expensive 120.00/set..but they do last a long time...what I get a kick out of it all is the dealers here use the cheapest then charge 600.oo for a brake job...they don't even use OEM... the best in my opinion for brake effort and durability is the OEM... the OEM pads on the silverado had 90,000mi on them ...now at 120,000 the replacement pads look 25% worn...not bad... The other factor is rotor/disk wear....these cheap pads destroy the brake rotors...my 2000 original rotors still look good at 120,ooo...
