Oil in Boost Gauge Hose

So today it was nice outside so I finally rewired all my gauges and turbo timer and redid the radio. Looks a lot better now, and it works. Anywho, when I was under the dash, I looked at the vacuum hose going to the turbo timer, and noticed there was oil in it. It's tee-d off the back of the IM. Any ideas? I have some thoughts on the situation... but I'll keep those to myself for now.

Some oil probably just came into the intake manifold from the PCV valve and some got into the boost line would be my guess. Although I have never seen any oil come into my boost line. I wouldn't be to worried.

I didn't take off the PCV but looked at the hose, and around the valve, the hose is soaked with oil, like enough to come through the hose itself. Should I get an oil catch can for over there?

Also, would oil in the line cause a mis-read on the gauge? Seems like if it's an air measurement, and there's liquid involved, that the reading would be off, and also trying to push the oil out... like at the gauge inside my dash.

Maybe 2 years old. I'm going to take it off probably tomorrow and blow through it and see if it works or not.

The PCV is suppose to suck air from the crank case into the manifold. Some oil may have splashed in the way and got sucked in. The PCV valve is suppose to stop air coming into the crank case. So replacing it with a new one will do nothing. Dave a catch can would help if that is where its coming from. I cant see a lot of oil coming threw there.

When I looked at the hoses at the back yesterday later on in the day, the other hoses (clear vacuum lines) also had a nice coating of oil inside of them. I'm thinking if all this oil is up in there, this may also explain why the car hasn't been running that great too. May be shooting the oil up into the IM, and then coming back down and burning it up in the combustion chambers.

Maybe check in the PCV valve hose and see if it looks like a lot of oil is coming threw there. You may need to go with a catch can setup. Do you have oil coming out of the breather on the valve cover? Thats where I had a problem with oil coming out.

No it's been dry there. Seems only to be coming up at the PCV. It's going to be cold all week and rain so it won't be a while until I get out there to check it out now (sad) so we shall see later.

Sweet. Is it the one that was in your old setup? I got pics of it, but could be way off.
