Is it normal for the front suspension on these trucks to feel not as firm as the rear suspension? When I hit a hard enough dip in the road, the front suspension feels like it goes through full suspension travel once, then another half suspension travel before it levels out. It rides fine except for that annoyance.
When I bought the truck, I replaced the original shocks (unknown brand) with a set of Monroe Magnums (yellow), because of the above ride characteristic.
It still rides the same.
Be aware, my previous vehicles where leaf spring/solid differential front suspension 4X4s, so I'm aware that there might be a difference in ride characteristics.
I want to possibly firm it up a little in the front. Should I try a set of the Monroe Reflex shocks, the Rancho RS5000TM, or the Rancho RSXTM?
The Rancho RSX9000XL shocks are out of the question. I won't pay $99 a shock.
I can also change the front torsion bars for a set of 3/4 ton (used) bars, if they fit of course, but that would defeat the advantages of the Z71 package.
Which would be better?
I'm not looking to give the truck the ride of an older style 4X4, I just want to get rid of the second bounce.

Thanks!
