Can I put a 05 malibu eng in an 03?

I of course have the same problem as any other malibu owner of the leaking lower intake manifold gasket. I have two great mechanics who I have talked to about this problem. Both have stated the same thing which is that they have replaced the old gaskets with the new 'improved' factory ones and sometimes within 20k miles they still fail. One of my mechanics said he has even tried flushing the coolant out as well and replacing it with another other than dex cool and he has still had a problem. So my question is can I replace my 03 malibu engine with an 05 that doesn't have this problem? If so about how much would I be looking at to spend to pay someone else to do this? thanks

Well, I replaced the old gasgets about 3 times until I used the new Tboubleshooter from Fel_Pro. I declined the newer version from the dealership. Have not had a problem since. Now to your question - Why would you replace an 03 with an 05? Seems that you have bigger issues here, my man!
