Hello once again.

For xmas 2 years ago my lady bought me a Toyota OEM hood protector from a dealership far away. I had my local dealership install it during a routine maintenance trip, and after about a year i noticed 2 things:

1) the metal clips had rubbed the hood badly...im talkin thru the paint and to the steel. I was QUITE IRRATE! The dealership took off the protector, touched up the damage with touchup paint, but now im nervous about rot. Any help as to what i should do there?

2) the rubber grommets that hold the outer-most metal lips onto the bottom edges of the hood's underside have broken / rotted. The "kit" the dealership sells is only sold with ALL the hardware minus the actual guard and is $60. Anyone know of a good alternative?

ps: Seems the hood protector kit did NOT come with the silicone protectors for the hood,...or if it did, they were never attached. I space out the metal lip and hood with a "pad" that is commonly used on chair feet, so they dont scuff a hardwood floor.
