My rodeo wont start again. This is the third time Ive been through this now. Ive replaced the fuel pump, strainer, fuel filter. Im on my second fuel pump in three months now.

Ive replaced the spark plugs, Ive confirmed Im getting spark. Wires, distributor, rotor were replaced in February. I swapped out the ECM relay with another known good one. All the fuses are good.

It drove to work fine this morning (36 miles one way). I go out this afternoon and it wont start.

The first time it would not start I ran the battery down trying to get it started. I would sputter sometimes but just not run. I got towed home and replaced the pump and it was all good for a couple months. Towards the end of last month, I left work, drove home and the next day went out to start it and it would not start. Same thing, it would sputter a little but then reached a point where it wouldnt even do that so I replaced the pump again and as soon as I got the new pump in and everything buttoned up, it started right up.

A couple weeks ago, I drove to work fine, went out that afternoon to go home and it would not start again. After about 30 minutes of trying, it finally started again and ran fine until today. Tried starting it again, initially it fired right up but within a second or two it died and would not restart. Would sputter here and there but just not run.

Im really out of ideas here and dont know what else to try. I have a hard time believing Ive gotten two bad pumps. If anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate the help. The thing is parked at work with nearly a full tank of gas and I am by no means looking forward to trying to drop that tank in a parking lot with that much gas in it.
