can anyone tell me where I can order the magnet that goes thru the cam gear on a 1988 Buick LeSaber?

You should be able to find one at Advanced. If they don't have one in stock, they can have one in 24-hrs. BTW, it is called "Camshaft Interrupter" in case you can't find one listed as a "magnet".
