Welcome to AF.

Your thread has been moved, as you've posted in the wrong section.

What engine do you have ??
And what exactly are you doing, replacing the belt or just taking it off and on ?

You'll probly need to remove the belt and align the spring in the tensioner and then tighten it back up. You need to insert a ratchet into the hole in the tensioner to release the tension and install the belt.

If you are repalcing the belt its a little more work. Thier is a thread with pics of this here - http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=730440
