Ok my mlibu has been sitting all summer and i went to start it yesterday and the blower does not work. I took it out and it was all rusted from water damage. Ok fair enough I get a new one. I plug in the new fan and it still dosent work. All fuses are good, the relay is good. Tested the motor with a batter charger and it runs. I took out the resistor that i replaced last year and it looks brand new. I tested it with a multi meter and it beeps on only a few contacts. I even used the multi meter on the connector to the blower and it read current when I turned it on. I noticed that on speeds 345 they read the same number on the meter. i just dont know what is going on. It should work. What else could it be?

Explain what this water damage issue is. BTW what year is the car?

Water got in through the air cowell under the wipers where the fan motor sits. Somehow the water gushed right through the fan until there was a huge puddle on the passenger floor. This is a 99 malibu.

Is it possible your turn-on switch has gone bad?
Worth a check.

no i dont think the switch is the problem. When I used a multimeter it actually changed voltage when i went through the different settings so that tells me its still good.
